Outdoor Yoga at The Colorado Chautauqua returns this Spring!

ASHTANGA YOGA: Sunday 9am-10:15am

Traditional yoga under a cool tent outdoors at Chautauqua this Spring? Yes! We got you. Ashtanga Yoga is often called the “Original Power Yoga” and this class gives you a taste of why that is. With her steady count and insightful cues, Sandi here guides you through no more than half of the Ashtanga Primary Series (including the traditional opening and closing sequences) for an empowering experience of mind-body-breath stretching and strengthening in union. This class is for those who want a challenge in your practice but don’t worry: she won’t ask you to cross your legs behind your head (that’s reserved for the full Primary Series)! Honor your body- mind and feel free to modify your practice as needed.

SUNRISE VINYASA: Tuesday 6am-7:15am

The early bird gets… the best views! This May, start your day with outdoor Sunrise Yoga on Tuesday mornings at Chautauqua’s beautiful perch overlooking Boulder from the base of the Flatirons! Stretch and strengthen with Sandi in a 75 minute all-level Vinyasa session to salute the sunshine and breathe in the fresh light of dawn. Note: if you want to catch the very first rays of the sunrise, feel free to arrive before 6am for open sitting meditation. Extra clothing layers and a sun hat and/or shawl are recommended for the change of temperature. Honor your body-mind and feel free to modify your practice as needed.

SUNSET YOGA & MEDITATIVE HIKING: Thursday 6:30pm-8pm

Is there a better way to end the day than with Sunset Yoga and Meditative Hiking around the gorgeous Chautauqua grounds? Take a deeper breath of fresh air with Sandi in this slow Vinyasa and Restorative yoga session followed by a quiet group hike along the Enchanted Mesa trail. Return home more relaxed, grounded, and connected to the beauty of both your internal and external environment. Note: all personal belongings are the responsibility of each participant. Leave anything at home that you don’t need, or plan to keep it with you during the hike. Yoga mats can be left inside the auditorium for pickup after the hike. Honor your body-mind and feel free to modify your practice as needed.
